2020 Homecoming video update from President John Pistole
God Bless, Go Ravens (GBGR)
Virtual Homecoming Events

As stated in President Pistole's video update about Homecoming 2020 (above), all alumni Homecoming events are going to be virtual. However, there are still going to be opportunities to connect with your AU family and friends that weekend. We will be hosting Decade Reunions (for the Classes of 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, and 2010), virtual luminaries walk through the Valley, an alumni concert showcase, a virtual trivia night, eSports competition, and much more!

Since we are not going to be able to meet on campus this year, we invite you to "Stay at Home-coming!" We will soon have a " Stay At Home-coming" packet of printables that you can download for your own Homecoming celebration.

As we lead up to #StillAU Homecoming Weekend, check out the website for links to live and pre-recorded events and other information related to this special weekend.

This program allows for two masters degrees in just four years. The 92 credits can be earned either on campus or 100% online. Visit the AU website for more information.
President Pistole featured in USA Today op-ed

In his recent op-ed in USA Today, President Pistole shares how his experience in TSA after 9/11 has given insight into managing the COVID-19 crisis on AU's campus and as students return to campus next week.

Thank you for your leadership, President Pistole!  Read his full op-ed here.

The Pride of Anderson
Curious Connections

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to take down the head of a Mafia crime family in New York City?

Have you ever wondered what it was like to watch Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant play NBA basketball hundreds of times from a courtside seat and sometimes talk with them afterwards?

How about play with Jackie Robinson or hold the record, for a time, of the most strikeouts (14) in a World Series game?

What would it be like to work on a blockbuster movie like Captain Marvel or The Avengers: End Game?

How would you like to talk with someone who can share their experiences on these topics and even answer questions you might have?

You are invited to participate in a Zoom call where you can talk with President John Pistole, Gary Gerould, Carl Erskine, or Katie Edwards Hooten.

With limited participants on each call (30), you will have a chance to ask questions and hear some interesting stories from some of our most storied alumni.

Here are the times (all EST) and dates for each call:
John Pistole:                  Monday, Aug. 24, 7-8 p.m.
Gary Gerould:                Tuesday, Sept. 1,  7-8 p.m.
Katie Edwards Hooten: Tuesday, Sept. 22, 7-8 p.m.
Carl Erskine:                    Tuesday, Sept. 29,  7-8 p.m.

Space is limited for each call, so sign up today!
What Lies Inside

AU alums Luke Renner '98 and David Neidert '07, co-owners of Tilt23 Studios, share their first documentary, premiering this year.

About the film:
In the aftermath of Haiti’s devastating 2010 earthquake, grappling with PTSD, filmmaker Luke A. Renner set out on a healing journey that would eventually unlock an older, deeper, childhood trauma he had lost in time. In his pursuit of personal healing, Luke would eventually uncover the insidious reality of psychological trauma and a public health crisis that’s been quietly wreaking havoc on humanity. In the documentary "What Lies Inside", Luke sets out to expose an unspoken truth that he discovered, a truth about the darkness that binds us to our suffering. With the help of world-renowned experts, fellow survivors, and creators from around the globe, this film seeks to illuminate what lies inside us all, a truth that, when faced, may finally set us free.
For more about the film and to receive updates about the premiere, visit their social media and website.
ECHOES
Check out our July/August ECHOES:

AU soccer is synonymous with the legendary 30-year head coach and 1991 alumnus Scott Fridley. In this episode of ECHOES, Coach Fridley talks about his background in the Church of God, how he started the AU soccer team, his longtime tenure as a coach, nearly 30 years of coordinating Anderson soccer camps on campus and the brand new soccer stadium. Scott's love for AU and his wealth of captivating stories makes this a must listen!

1951 alumnus Don Collins, a man that for decades has impacted the Church of God and Anderson University, shares stories about the people and places that transformed his life, and also what God is still teaching him in his 90's!
Born to serve and protect, 2005 alumnus Andy Eck is spearheading front-line efforts to keep people safe. Listen in to Andy talk about fun memories he had while on campus, how AU sharpened his faith, and how he's following God into the future. If you were around AU in the early 2000's you most likely knew and loved this AU legend!

Check out this episode with Rich BA '88 and Kelly (Spaulding) BA '90 Packard as they share about following God into ministry for married couples who've lost a child. The Packards share their own story of loss and how they seek to help others with their Living Hope Mountain Respite retreat experience. Stories from their AU experience as student-athletes and how their faith grew as Ravens are also shared.

You can check out each ECHOES podcast here at any time. Stay tuned each week as we publish them each week on our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
