Another school year has begun at AU, and a new group of freshmen began their AU story. We can probably all remember those first few days on campus. The questions, the anxiety, the excitement were all there (whether we would ever admit it or not). Those moments were the beginning seeds of your transforming journey.
As you reflect on these memories, we invite you to consider ways that you might be able to support and encourage our current students. Consider what would have been helpful to you.
Maybe it's as simple as
committing to pray for our students, our faculty, and our staff regularly.
Or, maybe you'd like to encourage our students more directly. If so, you could send a selfie video of encouragement that is 30 seconds or less to
trpalmer@anderson.edu that can be posted on RavenApp, which our students use regularly.
Or, maybe you'd like to help a student financially by giving the "AU Student Fund" for scholarships and grants. You can give online at https://www.anderson.edu/give/.
However you choose to support our students, we are grateful. When Ravens flock together, our students become equipped to SOAR.
Thanks for your ongoing support and engagement!

This year's Homecoming theme is #reAUnited, a reflection upon the numerous opportunities for alumni to gather and reunite! For a full schedule of activities and to register for Homecoming, please visit the AU website. A couple of changes for this year's Homecoming: the Saturday morning Homecoming breakfast, Oct. 19, will be intended for all reunion decades (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60-year alumni) to be in one place and reunite with their classmates. Additionally, the traditional "street fair" on University Boulevard will be moved to the Kardatzke Walkway to allow for more intentional alumni gathering spaces within one area.
We hope you'll join us for Homecoming 2019!

AU Becomes Only Midwest CCCU School with Accredited Engineering Programs
The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) has awarded accreditation for both electrical engineering and computer engineering at Anderson University. ABET marked that the programs have no deficiencies or weaknesses. AU is now the only school within the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) in the midwest to have ABET-accreditated programs in mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering.
“I am truly blessed to serve alongside this amazing faculty at Anderson University,” said Dr. Chad Wallace, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering. “This accreditation places AU science and engineering in rare company.”
A newer approach to connecting with some of our AU alums over the summer has been to visit them in the workplace. Over the past couple of months, we have been finding businesses within the Indy Metro area who employ a larger number of AU alumni. Once identified, we have arranged to take donuts & coffee or lunch to our alumni friends.
