Why AU? What makes AU distinctive?

Walking through the Valley, involving myself in campus life, attending chapel services, and engaging with our current students, I have been reminded of the answers to these questions. Beyond the outstanding programs, beyond the award-winning majors, beyond the success of our alums, my observations and conversations tell me that our distinction has everything to do with relationships.

I have witnessed and experienced what it means to come alongside students. I have seen faculty and staff go the extra mile to encourage students, to help them, and to process life with them. I have seen and experienced students bearing one another's burdens, loving, and caring for each other.

Whether at an alumni event talking with our beloved AU alums or on campus talking with our students, the common themes to many of the stories have everything to do with the relationships they have developed or are developing.

AU remains a safe place to allow our students to process, to wrestle with, and to grow in areas of faith, academics, and their own persona. It's a place where the pages of our students' stories are sometimes dog-eared, tattered, and sometimes torn but where redemptive stories often begin.

Mark your calendar- Anderson University's 3rd annual Day of Giving: Orange & Black Give Back is just around the corner!

On April 12, 2018, we invite all alumni, donors, and friends of AU to give any dollar amount they wish on this day- our goal is solely based on participation, not the amount of your gift. On this day, you will have the opportunity to bless students through the AU Student Fund to provide much-needed scholarship and grant funds, or you can also designate your gift to a specific department or athletic team. 

You're invited to Anderson University for an International Women's Day dinner at 6 p.m. on March 8!

This AU American Association for University Women (AAUW) initiative will focus on women’s health issues, both local and around the world. AU will recognize Beth Tharp, CEO of Community Hospital Anderson, AU alumna, and exemplar of women in leadership, as she brings the evening’s keynote comments.

Cost: $10 per person, $5 for students.
