It's not a scam!

No doubt many of you have received email(s) and postcard(s) about an Oral History Project at Anderson University. These communications have a different look and message to them than you may be used to receiving from us as we have partnered with Publishing Concepts Incorporated (PCI). PCI has ultimately taken on this initiative on our (AU’s) behalf in facilitating the communication to you and the collection of your alumni stories. We are not paying PCI to help us with this project, and we benefit both from getting updated contact information and valuable stories that will tell a compelling story of Anderson University’s history through the accounts of you, the pride of Anderson, our alumni.

PCI, as you can imagine, gets the bulk of the proceeds from sales they make on these books and audio files of the stories told. This “ask” can come off a little pushy as again, this is not an AU employee conversing with you. Please know that if you choose to call, all phone calls are recorded so that stories can be captured in full. Still, we are excited about seeing the end result of this and hope that those of you that entertain this project will benefit from telling your story and seeing that in a timeless keepsake.

And absolutely no worries if this isn’t for you. There is no expectation that you do this and another way to update your alumni information is to fill out the Stay Connected Form here.

Finally, PLEASE check out our webpage for a really comprehensive look into this project and a recent press release about it here.
